FREE maintenance and repairs for life

As long as you rent a Rockin Rental music instrument, we will provide expert maintenance and repairs for you, for life! Maintenance is for issues that you are not able to resolve on your own of course, or after a phone consultation with us.  And repairs are for problems that arise out of normal use, and not abuse of your rental instrument.  Please be careful with your Rockin Rental and it will last a lifetime. Maintenance and repairs are made by scheduling a “help call” with us, and if we still can’t help you, we’ll then schedule a “house call” to come out and fix the problem.  This awesome insurance program will save you lots of money and headaches, and provide the comfort of knowing an expert is only a phone call away : )

 

“Rockin Rescue” house calls from our School of Rock experts

Like a musical Geek Squad, but FREE! No more waiting on incompetent music store clerks or pulling your hair out over confusing manuals…Rockin Rescue to the rescue! When you just can’t fix something on your rental instrument, or need help with set up give us a call and we’ll make time to come to your house and remedy the situation. Things like drum kit drum placement, electric guitar amp and tones, or using your computer for music, these are important, so give us a call!

 

“Jam with Sid” music coaching

This is a really cool new feature to our Rockin rental program…I mean, you get to have the founder and head rocker Sid Lewis jam with you, in person! He will invite you (or you and your child) to his studio at the School of Rock, and work on whatever musical subject you want.

This awesome hands-on session with Sid is 15 to twenty minutes long and will be videotaped for you to take home and study indefinitely. These personal coaching sessions are FREE to all Rocking Rental students who are also currently taking lessons here…Come on in and let’s have some rockin FUN!

 

FREE trial rentals

If you are currently renting one or more instruments from us, now you can take home any additional Rockin rental instrument for one week, for FREE! This is a great way to explore other instruments and allow your kid (or yourself!) to determine if there is real interest there before buying or renting it. FREE membership to online music instruction member-site

Sid Lewis has been hard at work developing what promises to be the funnest and exiting online music program on the web. Taken from a decade of research in music instruction, this program will feature “jam rooms” where students can practice to backing tracks, a huge library of video and sheet music, and downloadable learning aids to music reading, composing, and much more. We will be keeping all of our Rocking Rental students posted on this, and can’t wait to offer you your FREE monthly membership as soon as we launch!

 

Details (“fine print”):

 

Definition of normal use of instrument:

Normal use of all rental instruments includes only what is necessary to play the instrument, at moderate volumes in a safe environment. Instrument can only be played by original renter and/or parent, and done so in accordance with CSOR instructors instructions. Rental instruments may only be used at renters home or at CSOR, unless otherwise authorized by CSOR headquarters.  Conditions in area of renters home where instrument is kept must be safe, free from environmental hazards (excessive heat, cold or damp),

 

Definitions of rental instrument abuse:

Any use, transportation or storage of a rental instrument that causes cosmetic, structural or electronic damage is considered abuse, and voids all rights of renter. Renter is financially liable for repairs or replacement of rental instruments involved in any incidents of abuse, in accordance to rental agreement. Damage is (but not limited to) anything that interferes with the normal function or look of an instrument, and as determined by CSOR or its representatives. Abuse also includes any unauthorized use of rental instrument outside of normal use definitions.

 

Repairs and maintenance covered:

Repairs and maintenance covered by this repair program are only minor issues. Major issues will call for an evaluation of instrument and situation, and determination of cause (normal use or abuse). This evaluation will be performed by an authorized representative of CSOR, and may also include the repossession of the rental instrument by CSOR. In accordance to rental agreement, renters are required to surrender rental instrument to COR at any time this is requested. Major issues will be determined by CSOR, and include (but are not limited to) any damage that interferes of prevents the functioning of an instrument, breakage, weather damage, theft or loss. Minor issues are everything else.

 

House-call protocol

Rental students are only eligible for a house-call from CSOR if the problem is not solvable by phone call and/or emails. House calls must be scheduled at least one week in advance, and there may be a waiting period determinate upon other prior house-call requests. House calls are only available in the greater Chico area, or within 5 miles of CSOR (932 we3st 8^th ave, Chico CA). House-call may be possible outside of this area, but recipient will be required to provide a fuel & driving fee of $10 cash, at time of visit.

 

Coaching protocol

Coaching sessions with Sid Lewis must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance, and there may be a waiting period determinate upon other prior coaching appointment requests. Coaching sessions are only available on the days and times specified by Sid Lewis.

Currently these days and times are: Monday and Friday mornings between 9am and noon.

Coaching sessions are 15 minutes long unless otherwise planned by Sid Lewis, and student is required to bring a video recording device (smart phones are recommended).

Students are limited to one coaching session a month, and Sid Lewis retains the right to be unavailable, reschedule, or cancel these sessions at any time. Only student and parent or authorized guardian is allowed to be present at coaching session.

Permission must be given by CSOR for any video of coaching session is posted on the internet.

 

Trial rentals

Parent or authorized guardian or rental student must sign “temporary responsibility agreement” before acquiring a trial rental. Trial rental pickups must be scheduled at the convenience of Sid Lewis or authorized CSOR representative, and return date must be scheduled at this same time. Trial instruments are free to rental student for one week, from date of pick up. Student and Parent or authorized guardian is wholly responsible for this instrument while it is their possession, and must return it back to CSOR at any time if requested by CSOR. Paying rental students take precedence over trial rental students.
