Lesson Rates & Terms

All lessons offer discounts for group payments (usually $10 off for a block of 4 prepaid), and we accept cash, checks, or credit cards. For pre-approved students there are barter arrangements available, please ask.

For new students, we highly recommend signing up with a friend with similar musical interests for Buddy Lessons. They are $10 less, and you’ll have twice the motivation to make it to class and practice at home with the encouragement of your “Buddy”. Later on, if you feel you need more intensive focus you can shift to Privates, or bring in more friends for Band Builders classes!

Students may also bring a friend to one lesson for free, at the discretion of the instructor. Ask about our Guest Passes…

All lessons may be paid by cash, checks, or credit cards. (please make all checks to Acoustic College). Group payments are not by the month, but are instead simply prepaid credit for a block of lessons. That means you won’t lose prepaid credit if you have to reschedule (assuming you call by the night before as our policy requires).
You will be required to pay/spend credit for a lesson spot if you call and cancel the same day or simply don’t show up. If it is a true emergency (accident, serious illness, etc) then the instructor may choose to let it slide.

CSOR and its instructors do not offer refunds for prepaid lessons. In the event of a student leaving while there is still pre-paid credit, parents may re-assign the pre-paid lesson credit to another party, or may request a “store credit” and return at a later date for lessons (at the discretion of the instructor).

All payments, in any form, are FINAL.

There will be a $10 fee for all bounced checks, which can be paid in person to instructor, or will be added on to next lesson payment.

Credit card payments will must be with instructor present, and 5 minutes out of the lesson is allotted to do this.

The CSOR Barter Program

Parents undergoing financial hardship (as determined by Sid Lewis after interviewing) may be eligible for lessons for barter. Parent will perform a variety of tasks depending on the school’s needs, and will work for a value of $10 per hour.

This equates to three hours of barter time for one ½ hour lesson. Barter time must be completed prior to the lesson, usually between a couple of days to a week, unless otherwise authorized by the director.

Parent will meet with the director to be assigned the tasks, and then be expected to work without supervision if necessary. Parents are expected to be trustworthy and hard working, if the barter/lesson trade is to work.

Instructor reserves the right to terminate the barter at any time.
