Other Programs

Besides our music lessons, we also offer several unique programs to enrich your child’s musical experience.

CSOR Chaperon Program (CSORCP)

Tired of having your child pester you to go to rock shows? Or you want to take them, but don’t have the time or inclination? Or, you want to assure your child’s safety at the event? Then the CSORCP may be for you.

The CSORCP is essentially “musical babysitting”, where one of our trained and certified instructors accompanies your child to their concert of choice, and watches over them the entire time. Our instructors are well experienced in what happens at real-life concerts, and can guarantee a safe (and still “cool”) experience for your child.

The parent simply provides for a ticket for the child/children and the instructor to the event, and will fill out a CSORCP agreement prior. Event must be cleared ahead of time (at least a month is preferred), and parents are advised to discuss the show with the instructor as well.

Please call for more information or to book a CSOR CP experience!

PAL Group

PAL groups (“Parent Advisory League”)are the CSOR’s informal think tank. We are constantly chasing new musical dreams for our kids, and so feedback from you, the parents, is very important for us.

PAL groups meet usually once a month, and as of this time they are scheduled for approximately every 2nd Saturday of the month. All parents are welcome, but must check in with director Sid Lewis for space availability. (email here at the site or call us at (530) 894-2526)

There is no formal agenda, but some of the following are usually discussed:

  • upcoming events for the school
  • ideas for new developments (music camps, magnet events, new programs, etc)
  • parent feedback (likes and dislikes), and new ideas
  • networking and alliance building

Have an idea for a class? Let us know, the chances are we can do it! And whatever else! See our Events page for upcoming groups…
